Happy February! It is my birth month and to start it off I have a layout I created for the Scrap the Boys February Challenge - White plus One.

For this layout I sifted through my photos of Easton and came across this series of pictures taken in the alley in Downtown Fargo. I loved how the ramp was green, and so is part of Easton's Jacket. I'm typically not a green person, but this just fit this months challenge theme. So I dug through my paper stash to find anything green I could. This was a slight challenge, as green isn't something I typically collect. But I knew it would be PERFECT for this layout.

I started with a white cardstock base and splattered Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Evergreen Bough and Rustic Wilderness on the page.

I layered the photos with pattern paper in different shades of green. Prior to that, I cut them down to 3" x 5".

I found a chevron rainbow paper in my stash that I LOVE. I cut the green chevron out form that and added that to a white wood grain piece of pattern paper. I adhered this to the bottom of the layout.

I arranged my photos on right side of the page. I did this because I typically arrange them on the left side of the page and thought I should switch it up.

Finally I added a title using American Crafts - Thickers and embellished with any green embellishment I could find. I guess I have a lot of green hearts.

I actually love how this layout turned out! I hope you take time this month to find a photo you like and pull just one color out from that photo to base your layout around.

Don't forget if you scrap your boys, to submit to the Scrap the Boys Challenge for the month of February.
