Happy Wednesday. Today I’m up on the Ink Road Stamps blog as I start my new term with the company! Head over there and give me some love. 🙂
The layout I’m sharing was inspired by a piece of paper from Pink Paislee (Paige Evans) Horizon collection (03). I choose my ink colors from Catherine Pooler inks to match this paper. Because I didn’t want to waste this paper, I trimmed out the middle and left a 1″ border to border my layout.
Next, I applied clear gesso to a piece of white card stock. I did this because I knew I wanted to add some color medium to the page. I added Catherine Pooler Inks (colors listed in product list below) by ink smooshing them to the page.
I cut the Polaroid Banner frame from another piece of white card stock. I designed this file so you could add a backing pattern to the Polaroid frame and add your picture in center opening.
For my pattern paper, I used the inners of the frame to create my own pattern paper using Ink Road Stamps, stamps in Between the Lines and Full Circle.
Next, I added foam to the back of the frames to give them elevation from the page. I then added my photos to the openings. My photos will sit flush to the page, as the frames will be dimensional.
Then I stamped Ink Road Stamps, stamps in Bella Flora and Frond of You onto the Judikins Embossible Window Plastic with Versafine Ink and Brutus Monroe Icicle Embossing Powder. I really wanted to be able to see the color smooshing and not take away from the colors, but to add elements around the frames.
And here is my final layout!
