In June Matt and I were able to get away for 10 days. It was a great trip to the Twin Cities to visit my family and to Wisconsin Dells to take two of our dancers to Nationals. But it was much needed time to get away.
For this travelers notebook spread, I used the Clique Kits August Travelers Notebook Kit (there are still a few available a la carte), and a cut file from Ink Road Stamps (Mega Geo Pack).
I kept the layout simple using black and white and the pop of cold in the letters “weekend”.
I’m using a new style of travelers notebook (still waiting for my cover to arrive from Color Cast Designs), where I will insert the pages with rings. In the past I would make it half way through a notebook and it was full. I also avoided puffy items at all cost. But with this freestyle notebook style I feel like I can scrapbook with layers and dimension without sacrificing location of placement on a page.
